Important Information You Should Know

Samos Roundabouts
The Samos roundabouts are not what you will be used to in your own country, they may look the same (round) but that is where all similarities end. Forget what you have learned about having the right of way once you are on the roundabout, a general rule that is safe to follow is that the road comming onto the roundabout has right or way. There are exceptions to every rule, take for instance if the road comming onto the roundabout has a STOP sign, then they 'should' stop and allow you to continue driving. The Samians know this, but the other tourists (Greek tourists included) may not! There is no sence or logic, so just be careful when you approach a roundabout, and slow down/stop for cars that entering the roundabout (unless both you and they can see their stop sign). NEVER ASSUME YOU HAVE RIGHT OF WAY: even if the road you are on is the main road, quite often a major road has to give way to a minor road.

Car and Bike Insurance
We offer standard third party insurance on all of our cars and motor bikes. Damage to other persons vehicles / property is covered by the insurance, damage to the rental car as a result of an accident caused by the driver of the rental car is not covered. 'Collision Damage Waiver' (CDW) or 'Fully Comprehensive' insurance can be purchased at the time of the vehicle hire at a minimal daily rate. This covers you for damage to the rented vehicle caused by the driver of the rented vehicle (note there is a standard excess/premium of €250.00 on this insurance)

Bike helmets
It is a legar requirement for both driver and passenger to wear helmets, Don't be tempted for that 'al fresco' feel, if the Police stop you, you'll be in for a hefty fine. All of our helmets meet the new insurance company requirements, DO NOT rent a bike from anyone else if they offer you the 'skull cap' type helmet (pictured right); if you are involved in an accident, your insurance company will not pay.

General Information
Please make sure you bring your valid driving licence with you, no licence, no car!!! Please make sure that if you intend to rent a motorbike even a 50cc scooter, you must have category 'A' listed on your licence.
