Samos Attractions
Samos is located in the North Aegean Sea, in a group of islands called the Eastern Sporades. The Island can be accessed by sea and by air. Rich in culture and history, Samos Island is a definately worth a visit.
A wonderful mountain village full of Greek tradition. The village square is lined with small tavernas, a perfect location for either lunch or a romantic dinner. The water from the mountain spring is said to posses 'special' qualities!

This has been the site of many temples worshiping Hera, the last being built under the order of Polycrates in 525 BC, the largest temple in Greece. Today, only the foundations and a single column remain at the site.
The 1,040m (3,410 ft) long Ephpalineo aquaduct is one of the most significant engineering feats of the ancient world. Commissioned by Polycrates and designed by Eupalinos the tunnel guaranteed water supply to the ancient city of Samos.
